Magic happens when a client trusts the creative process. This project is the true embodiment of our essence as a design team — a pinnacle labor of love from us, to this client. A prominent lawyer, investor, and professor with extensive published works in his field, this client is a devoted father who centers his life around family and his children. An instant chemistry was formed in our first meeting, which sparked an ambitious decision to furnish and articulate the entire residence as an artistic, immersive experience.
Built in a meticulously preserved Tudor Revival style — this storybook house is rooted by century-old oak trees and manicured grounds in a neighborhood where kids still walk and ride their bikes to school. Inside, every interior detail was carefully finessed: original studio works by Charles Derenne, Chyrum Lambert, and Jonathan Ryan; custom natural wool rugs for anchoring; hand-sculpted accents by Jeffery Park for moments of tactility and craft; and a layered material palette defined by bold hues, diverse textures, and whimsical pattern play. Each room was composed as its own vignette but connected by a cohesive visual rhythm of depth and imagination. The result is a home that breathes life into each page, encourages exploration, and captures the inner vibrant beings of this client and his children.
