Project Scope: Partial-Home Furnishings / Lighting / Art / Rugs / Styling

A renowned philanthropist, women’s-rights activist, social entrepreneur, and co-founder of a cult following lifestyle brand, this client has shaped how we share ideas, connect, cook, and thrive. When she engaged us to redesign her home, the goal was clear: reimagine the common areas and the kitchen not merely as functional spaces, but as conduits for intention, style, and purpose—honoring her heritage while serving the rigor of her work, the sacredness of gathering, and the vibrancy of her vision.

Rooted in the architecture’s Spanish Revival bones—arched doorways, hand plaster walls, azul delft ceramic tiles, wrought-iron medallions—we layered in structured patterns, native florals, and rich colors reminiscent of South Asian textiles while tempered by the drifting lights of coastal California. Every material was chosen deliberately: organic woods, sustainable masonry, natural fiber rugs, hand-fired ceramics, to name a few motifs. Artworks were from personal collaborators that the client knew, fostering stories in every room.

The common areas need to be multifunctional: salon-like receiving rooms for press and business, social hubs with convivial and flexible seating, quiet corners for reflection or informal meetings. But the heart of the home is the kitchen: this client’s favorite room. It is here she nourishes her mind and soul from within. The result: an interior that feels polished yet eminently livable, playful yet deeply fostering. It is architecture revived, culture celebrated, and design that empowers—both aesthetically & socially. This is a home in service of our shared philosophy: to live with intention, to host with heart, and to thrive with style.
