A Creative Writer and lover of classic Hollywood cinema, this client has a vivid imagination both in her professional and personal life. The goal of this project was to create an interior style that would personify a darker, moodier aesthetic without compromising on color tone and range of materials. It was also important to give the client’s impressive collection of mementos that she collected throughout her travels a purposeful place throughout the home.
We began with a main color schematic for each space, followed by a selection of materials and furniture pieces from different eras that would best tell the design story of each room. We sourced a 16th gothic chair that perfectly complemented a linen skirted canopy bed, framed with a pair of canary velvet accent chairs. The kitchen was completely renovated with a Stormy Cloud granite for both the countertop and backsplash that we inlaid with satin brass bars along with the hardware. The Dining Room features a classic Jason Miller chandelier along with a blackened-mirror wall to enlarge the space.
