Hidden Mediterranean

Hollywood Hills, CA

After founding & selling several successful tech startups, this client originally approached Hanna to design and furnish one of his vacation homes in California due to their shared passion in personal wellness and mindfulness living. This client wanted a serene place he could retreat to from the outside world’s hustle bustle, but also with a lively vibe in the common spaces for entertaining friends and private dinners. Under Hanna’s thought leadership and design sensibilities, the duo designed the key areas of the home including the Entry, Grand Salon, Primary Bedroom, Guest Rooms, and an idyllic Exterior Dining & Terrace.

Because of the house’s Mediterranean architectural exterior, Hanna chose materials, colors, and textures that would fit into a more classic schematic while implementing tropical species of trees and plants to blur the line of indoor & outdoor California living. The end result is a space that’s cozy, inviting, yet rooted in modern relevance with provocative shapes and material blends. Since the design of this first home, this client and Hanna have together expanded the scope to several other architectural homes in Los Angeles, all different in its style but singular in its intent.
