Project Scope: Partial-Home Furnishings / Art / Rugs / Styling
This is our tech-entrepreneurial client’s second project with us, nestled on a quiet tree-lined street in West Hollywood. Because of the busy nature of this client’s schedule, the key elements of the interiors were designed with ease of maintenance, adaptability, and density balance in mind. The space needed to be both comfortable yet modern, packed with smart home features fit for our client’s tech-savvy. Together with our team, this client tasked us to design & furnish all the main common areas of the house as well as the Primary Bedroom, two Guest Bedrooms, and a Game Room where he stores all of his favorite board & video games.
With a brutalistic-architecture style made primarily of wood, concrete, and glass, this house required a contemporary interior with pieces that are both unique in form and clean in materials. We began with furniture pieces that present unexpected shapes with patterned rugs, complete with geometric light fixtures to complement the design language. Extra tall trees and tropical plants were used to soften the contrast, as well as upholstery in shearling and faux fur. We also chose mainly neutral colors throughout the house in both walls, furniture, and accents, in order to seamlessly blend with the open exterior. The result is a contemporary home that will stand the test of time.
