ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

Last updated: January 01, 2024

At Hanna Li, we are open to your experiences and ideas and thus we want to be available to you if you are having difficulty with our website’s access. We are dedicated to giving our clients, readers, and users a great experience both in person and digitally on the internet. Thus, we are committed to providing a website that is digitally accessible and usable to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. Our goal is to empower all clients, readers, and users of our website with the help and support they need in order to successfully navigate and obtain information through the use of our website about our company and the services we provide.

We are committed to ensuring that our website, mobile, and tablet interfaces are accessible to individuals with disabilities. We work hard by using accessible web design practices that are grounded upon Google and WCAG’s (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) recommended practices and analytics, which may include accessibility criteria outlined in the United States Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Section 508.

Hanna Li takes the following measures and modes of compatibility to ensure accessibility of our website:

  • Appoint an accessibility officer and/or ombudsperson (see below).
  • Provide continual accessibility training for our web developer and designer.
  • Annual testing of our website for accessibility guidelines compliance.
  • Compatibility with operating system screen magnifiers.
  • Compatibility with speech recognition software.
  • Compatibility with operating system speech packages.

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Wherever possible, Hanna Li will conform with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Although our goal is WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance, we have also applied some Level AAA Success Criteria: Images of text are only used for decorative purposes. Re-authentication after a session expires does not cause loss of data. These guidelines outline four main principles that state that sites should be:

  • Perceivable – Information and user interface components must be presentable to users in ways they can perceive.
  • Operable – User interface components and navigation must be operable.
  • Understandable – Information and the operation of user interface must be understandable.
  • Robust – Content must be robust enough that it can be interpreted reliably by a wide variety of user agents, including assistive technologies.

Accessibility of Hanna Li’s website relies on the following technologies to work with the particular combination of web browser and any assistive technologies or plugins installed on your computer:

  • HTML
  • CSS
  • JavaScript

These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used.

Additionally, Hanna Li relies on the assessment of accessibility by internal evaluations. We test our website annually for accessibility with Google’s and WCAG’s recommended guidelines. This helps to ensure that updates and changes made to our website throughout the year are done in line with current accessibility practices and recommended standards.
